Is this derailleur cage compatible with R8000 GS derailleurs?
Yes, this model is compatible with 100% of Ultegra R8000 series derailleurs, both mechanical and Di2, as well as Dura-Ace 9100 and all 12-speed Ultegra R8100 and Dura-Ace 9200 series derailleurs.
Why did CyclingCeramic create a new derailleur cage?
The current model was designed in 2017 and updated in 2020. The new model aligns better with the finish of 2025 road bikes.
Is the 2025 cage more efficient than the previous model?
Friction gains have not been established yet, but the streamlined design suggests potential aerodynamic improvements. Wind tunnel testing results are awaited.
Does this model replace the Aero version?
No, the Aero model remains in the catalog but is better suited for time trial bikes with a more rugged design.
