Bikone DCTech steel bottom bracket for PressFit BB86 / BB92 frames with a 41 mm internal shell diameter and 24 mm crank spindles.
Compatible with Shimano 105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace Hollowtech II cranksets as well as Rotor ALDHU 24 and VEGAST 24 configurations. 7075-T6 aluminium cups, ABEC5 / P5 – 2RS chrome-steel bearings and a fully sealed Dual Cup design.
Bikone manufacturer weight: 94 g (manufacturer) or 102g (our scale) . A strong upgrade from a standard Shimano BB86 unit without moving straight to ceramic bearings.

Why this Bikone makes sense on a BB86 bike
BB86 is widely used on road bikes with Shimano drivetrains. The Bikone 41/24 keeps the proven 24 mm spindle format while improving cup construction, alignment and sealing. It is a logical step up for a bike that sees regular mileage without the added cost of ceramic bearings.

Two aluminium cups form a central assembly intended to support accurate bearing alignment and reduce unwanted movement.

BB86 Shimano means 41 mm at the frame and 24 mm at the crank
A road BB86 shell is approximately 86.5 mm wide with a 41 mm internal diameter. Shimano Hollowtech II road cranksets use a 24 mm spindle, hence the common “41/24” description.
The same Bikone family also covers BB92 MTB applications. Always match the exact frame and crank application specified for the bicycle.

Shimano 105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace… plus Rotor 24 mm
Suitable for Shimano 24 mm cranksets including 105 R7000 / R7100, Ultegra R8000 / R8100, Dura-Ace R9100 / R9200 and compatible Hollowtech II generations. It also works with Rotor ALDHU 24 and VEGAST 24 configurations.
Not compatible with SRAM DUB 29 mm or Rotor 30 mm spindles.

PressFit installation
Clean and inspect the shell, then press the cups squarely with the correct tool. A misaligned or forced installation can create noise and shorten bearing life.

FAQ — Bikone BB86 Shimano 24 mm steel
Does it replace a Shimano SM-BB72-41B?
Yes on a BB86 Ø41 mm frame used with a Shimano 24 mm crankset. Confirm the frame standard before ordering.
Is it compatible with Dura-Ace R9200, Ultegra R8100 and 105 R7100?
Yes. These Shimano road cranksets use a 24 mm Hollowtech II spindle.
Can I use a Rotor ALDHU 24?
Yes when the ALDHU is configured with a 24 mm axle and the frame is BB86 / Ø41 mm.
Is it SRAM DUB compatible?
No. DUB uses an approximately 29 mm spindle and requires the dedicated Bikone 41/29 model.
Steel or ceramic for year-round riding?
Steel is particularly sensible when durability, cost and simple maintenance matter most. Ceramic is aimed more at premium performance builds.
