Why choose this CyclingCeramic bottom bracket?
T47 is a large-diameter threaded standard with replaceable cups. Its mechanical interface avoids the pressed-in fit of a PressFit bottom bracket. On this IN Cup design, the bearings sit within the frame shell width. Do not confuse it with external-cup T47 units for 68 mm shells or asymmetric T47A systems.

Compatibility: internal T47 frame and SRAM DUB crankset
Before ordering, check the frame's threading and shell width as well as the crank spindle diameter and length. Not every 86.5 mm shell is T47: BB86 is a completely different PressFit standard.

For example: some Trek Madone, Domane and Checkmate frames use internal T47, but the model name alone does not confirm fit for every year. Use our bottom bracket finder if you are unsure.
Installation: a premium double-sided tool
Prepare the frame threads as specified by the frame manufacturer and tighten the cups with the correct tool. With SRAM DUB, always follow the spacer configuration for your frame and your crankset version (standard or Wide). Grease is supplied with the bottom bracket; the installation tool is sold separately.

CyclingCeramic offers a premium double-sided tool with 16 notches on each side: one side for recent internal T47 cups and the other for T45 / Colnago ThreadFit. An integrated magnetic centre guide helps keep the tool aligned, while its precision-machined construction supports controlled installation with a torque wrench.
Please note: the tool is not included and is intended for matching CyclingCeramic threaded cup interfaces from the 2026 generation onwards. Check the cup interface on older units before ordering.

Will this fit a Trek with a 85.5 mm T47 shell?
Yes. CyclingCeramic expressly specifies compatibility with Trek 85.5 mm internal T47 shells. Verify your exact frameset, model year and crankset before installation.
Do SRAM DUB and DUB Wide use the same spacers?
No. For T47 road/gravel setups, CyclingCeramic’s reference chart lists standard DUB: 0 mm non-drive side and 2 mm drive side; DUB Wide: 2 mm and 4.5 mm respectively. Always cross-check these figures against your frame and crankset instructions: CyclingCeramic DUB spacer chart.
Can I install it in a 86.5 mm BB86 frame?
No. T47 has a threaded shell; BB86 is a smooth-bore PressFit design. Equal shell width does not make the standards interchangeable.
Are all SRAM RED, Force or Rival cranksets DUB?
No. SRAM has also offered GXP and other spindle interfaces. DUB spindles measure 28.99 mm; identify the exact crankset rather than relying on the group name alone.
Is the installation tool included?
No. The current bottom bracket is supplied without the tool. The CyclingCeramic universal bottom bracket tool is available separately.
Do ceramic bearings guarantee a measurable watt saving?
High-quality bearings can reduce friction, but real-world differences depend on seals, lubrication, load and maintenance. A universal fixed watt saving cannot be guaranteed.
