Why use an oversized cage on SRAM AXS?
The idea is not simply to replace the original bearings. Larger pulley diameters allow the chain to run through gentler articulation angles, while ceramic bearings help minimise mechanical resistance. The benefit therefore comes from the complete system: cage geometry, larger pulleys and ceramic bearings.
The drivetrain keeps its modern, precise shifting while gaining smoothness and refinement. On a high-end road bike, it is a coherent upgrade for riders who want to push drivetrain optimisation further.

Meridian Pink: a genuine special edition
Here, colour is not a minor detail. Meridian Pink immediately transforms the rear of the bike and works particularly well with black, white or raw-carbon frames, as well as bikes already using carefully selected coloured components.
Underneath the finish, however, you retain the full CyclingCeramic Race technical platform: the same 14/19T architecture, the same focus on drivetrain efficiency and the same high-end construction.
Rival, Force or Red AXS: where is the upgrade most relevant?
On Rival AXS or Force AXS, the CyclingCeramic cage is a particularly coherent upgrade because the pulley quality, bearings and system geometry are all improved at the same time.
On Red AXS, already a very high-end groupset, the interest is more about fine-tuning an already excellent drivetrain while adding a much more distinctive visual signature.

Velo-Perso.com's opinion
This Meridian Pink version is first and foremost a CyclingCeramic Race. It therefore keeps the 14/19T geometry we like for optimising a SRAM AXS groupset without moving to a much larger oversized system.
The obvious difference is the look. The pink finish is bold enough to transform the bike, while remaining attached to a genuinely functional component. This is exactly the type of part we like on a custom build: a visible technical upgrade, not just decoration.
Key point: Race 14/19T geometry, ceramic bearings, a measured weight of just 99 g and a limited-edition Meridian Pink finish. For a SRAM AXS drivetrain that performs — and looks genuinely different.
