Rotor Qarbon Aero · 50T · final stock

The 50T aero chainring your Rotor INspider deserves

Most 50-tooth outer chainrings have an open, cut-out design. The Rotor Qarbon Aero offers something different: a more closed aero-oriented profile, a premium carbon facing and just 123 g, measured by Velo-Perso.

50T only 110 mm BCD · 4 bolts INspider V1 / V2 12.5% oval Q-Rings 123 g verified

Discontinued — final stock. We still have a small number of 50T chainrings, but no further deliveries are expected. €139, reduced from €199: an attractive price for the last examples of this premium component.

The right chainring for your power meter

Keep your INspider power meter. Upgrade the outer chainring.

Already riding with a Rotor INspider ROAD V1 or INspider 2.0 with a 110 mm BCD, 4-bolt spider? Looking specifically for an aero 50T outer chainring? This is exactly where the Qarbon stands out.

Aerodynamic styling in a compact 50T size

Enjoy versatile 50T gearing without stepping up to a 54T or 56T ring. The Qarbon brings a more enclosed aero-oriented design to a chainring size often offered only in open-worked versions.

Premium construction, 123 g on our scales

Its aluminium structure is paired with a carbon facing. This is not a full-carbon chainring: the aluminium structure and teeth handle drivetrain duties, while the carbon adds the distinctive aero finish.

Our recommended setup

Complete your 50/34 with a Rotor Q-Rings 34T inner chainring

For a double-chainring road setup, we recommend pairing this 50T Qarbon Aero outer ring with a Rotor Q-Rings 34T inner ring. The result is a matching oval 50/34 combination suited to everyday road riding, long distances and climbs.

Don't have an INspider yet?

Build around the Rotor INspider 2.0

The INspider ROAD 2.0 is a modular spider-based power meter with a 110 mm BCD / 4-bolt chainring interface. Combine it with compatible Rotor crank arms and spindle, then choose your chainrings.

The power meter, crank arms and spindle are not included in the chainring price.

Important before ordering

One shape left: oval Q-Rings, not round

Our remaining Qarbon Aero 50T chainrings are available exclusively in the 12.5% oval Q-Rings version. If you specifically want a round chainring, this is not the right product.

Q-Rings vary their effective radius as the cranks turn. With a compatible Rotor OCP-adjustable setup, you can fine-tune the oval's orientation to your pedalling style. There is no guaranteed wattage gain: the benefit depends on the individual rider, cadence and riding conditions.

Not sure about oval chainrings? Read our detailed guide to the advantages and limitations of oval chainrings.

Compatibility matters

Check the mounting interface, not just the tooth count

Intended fitments

  • Rotor INspider ROAD V1 and 2.0: 110 mm BCD, 4-bolt road spiders.
  • Other compatible Rotor 110 × 4 spiders: confirm the exact spider and bolt configuration before ordering.
  • Selected Shimano 4-arm cranksets: notably Ultegra 6800 and Dura-Ace 9000, as listed for this model.

Do not assume compatibility with

  • Rotor INspider MTB (100 mm BCD) or 5-bolt spiders.
  • Direct Mount / Spidering systems with integrated chainrings.
  • Every Shimano “4-arm” crankset: BCD alone does not confirm offsets, bolts or complete fitment.

Unsure whether it fits? Send us your spider reference or a clear chainring-side photo, together with your drivetrain model. We can help you confirm compatibility before ordering.

Order with confidence

Three checks before adding it to your cart

01 · Mounting

Confirm 110 × 4 fitment

Ideally an INspider ROAD V1 or V2, or another explicitly compatible spider.

02 · Tooth count

Choose the 50T option

50 teeth is the only remaining version. It is oval, not round.

03 · Inner ring

Add the matching 34T

For a double 50/34 setup, add the Q-Rings “34 (50)” inner chainring separately.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you buy

Will this chainring fit my Rotor INspider V1 or V2?

It is designed for Rotor INspider ROAD V1 and 2.0 spiders with 110 mm BCD and a 4-bolt interface. It does not fit the 100 mm BCD INspider MTB.

Can I build a 50/34 chainring set?

Yes. We recommend pairing the 50T Qarbon Aero with the Rotor Q-Rings 34T inner chainring, “34 (50)” variant. Each chainring is sold separately.

Is a round Qarbon Aero 50T available?

No. Our remaining stock is exclusively the oval Q-Rings version, with 12.5% ovality.

Will you restock after these sell out?

No. This model is permanently discontinued. These are our final remaining units.

Is the chainring made entirely from carbon?

No. It has an aluminium structure and a carbon facing. The 50T example photographed and weighed by Velo-Perso came in at 123 g.
