Bikone Assembly Paste for Threaded Parts 140 ml
Bikone Assembly Paste for Threaded Parts is a very high-adhesion assembly paste developed for threaded bicycle joints, especially threaded bottom brackets. It helps prevent seizure, unwanted noise, wear and contact corrosion while making future disassembly easier even after long periods of use.
It is not a conventional bearing grease. The formula uses a mineral base oil, an inorganic thickener and graphite + aluminium solid lubricants. Bikone deliberately gives it a higher coefficient of friction than other assembly pastes to reduce the risk of loosening and keep tightening behaviour closer to a dry joint.

- Threaded bottom brackets: BSA, ITA, T45, T47 and other threaded standards when allowed by the component manufacturer.
- Aluminium-to-aluminium threaded interfaces.
- Bolts and machined parts.
- Suspension pivot bolts and other heavily loaded threaded joints.

The PressFit paste is designed for parts that must slide into position and remain stable in a bore: its synthetic base and PTFE provide lubricity, pressure protection and broad material compatibility. The threaded paste protects threads without making the joint excessively slippery: its dense aluminium/graphite formula stays inside the thread and protects against seizure and tribocorrosion. The two products are not interchangeable.
For a PressFit bottom bracket, use Bikone PressFit Assembly Paste 140 ml. For threaded bottom brackets, use this product.

How To: install a threaded bottom bracket correctly
- Remove and clean. Remove old grease, dried paste and debris from the frame and bottom-bracket threads. Bikone BB & Bearing Cleaner is suitable for bare mechanical parts.
- Inspect the threads. Make sure they are clean, undamaged and free from metallic debris.
- Apply a thin, even layer. Coat the threads without creating excessive build-up.
- Start threading by hand. Never force a cup that is cross-threaded.
- Tighten to the torque specified by the frame/bottom-bracket manufacturer. The paste supports repeatable assembly but does not replace the manufacturer's torque specification.
- Wipe away excess paste.
Do not confuse it with long-lasting bearing grease
This paste is for static threaded interfaces. For bearings, seals and moving parts, use Bikone Long-Lasting Grease, which is designed for rotation and low friction.

Precautions
Do not mix with greases of a different nature and keep the container closed to prevent contamination. This is not carbon assembly paste and is not intended for internal bearing lubrication.
