A more sophisticated construction than the old product page suggested
Current Bikone data specifies 7075 aluminium cups. The old 6061-T6 reference is therefore no longer used here. T6 heat treatment improves hardness and dimensional stability.
DualCupTech™
DualCupTech is designed to keep both bearings perfectly concentric around the spindle. Even a high-quality bearing can lose much of its advantage if it is misaligned, so cup machining and positioning matter.
CeramicBallBearings
The ABEC5 / P5 – 2RS hybrid ceramic bearings combine low friction, dimensional stability and corrosion resistance. Sealing quality remains essential if these properties are to be preserved over time.
FullySealed + Axial Seals
Multiple seals, including two axial seals, reduce the ingress of water, dust and mud. This is particularly useful for a BSA bottom bracket that is meant to stay on the bike for a long time.

Clean the threads
Remove the old bottom bracket, clean the frame threads carefully and make sure they are not damaged.

Grease the threads
Apply suitable assembly grease to make tightening easier and future removal safer.

Thread the cups in by hand first
Start each cup perfectly straight. If it binds immediately, back it out; never force a crossed thread with torque.

Tighten to 35–40 Nm
Use a compatible 16-notch tool and a torque wrench.
FAQ
Is it compatible with Shimano 105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace?
Yes, for Shimano road cranksets with a 24 mm spindle installed in a 68 mm BSA frame.
Is it compatible with Rotor?
Yes if your Rotor crankset uses a 24 mm spindle. A different version is required for 30 mm spindles.
