Which bottom bracket should I choose for my Rotor Vegast crankset with Inspider 2.0?
This crankset is our entry-level dual-sided power meter in 24 mm axle format. It’s ideal for cyclists looking for a simple and direct installation on a Shimano-compatible bike, with no special adjustment required.
If you stick with the 24 mm axle, two options are available depending on your frame:
- BSA frames (threaded, e.g. Colnago Y1RS & V5RS, Cannondale Supersix, Specialized Tarmac SL7/SL8, Aethos): Bikone steel or CyclingCeramic
- BB86 frames (e.g. Giant TCR, Scott Addict, Lapierre Xelius, BMC Teammachine SLR, Canyon Ultimate and Aeroad): Bikone steel or CyclingCeramic
If you upgrade to a 30 mm axle, you’ll save over 70 grams thanks to the lighter axle and better-machined crank arms. For maximum performance, we recommend ceramic bottom brackets with excellent efficiency:
- BB86 (e.g. Canyon Ultimate CF SLX, Giant Propel, Scott Foil): CyclingCeramic 41x30
- BSA30 (e.g. Colnago Y1RS & V5RS, Cannondale SuperSix Evo, Tarmac SL7 & SL8): CyclingCeramic BSA30
