Bikone DCTech ITA Ceramic Bottom Bracket Shimano 24 mm

The Bikone DCTech ITA Ceramic is a premium threaded bottom bracket for frames using the Italian standard. It combines ABEC5 / P5 – 2RS hybrid ceramic bearings, 7075-T6 aluminium cups and Bikone's Dual Cup Technology (DC Tech) to deliver very smooth rotation, accurate bearing alignment and strong protection against water and contamination.

This model is made for Italian-threaded ITA road frames and 24 mm spindle cranksets, especially Shimano Hollowtech II (105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace) and compatible 24 mm road cranks. It is also suitable for Pinarello frames using an Italian bottom bracket standard, provided the exact frame specification is checked first.

Compatibility and technical specifications

Installation

• Bikone tightening torque: 30–35 Nm.
• Left / non-drive side: assembly grease.
• Right / drive side: low-strength threadlocker such as Loctite 222, as specified by Bikone.
• Tool: Shimano-type BSA/ITA tool, 44 mm outer diameter / 42.7 mm inner diameter, 16 notches (e.g. Park Tool BBT-69.3, Shimano TL-FC32 or equivalent).
• Do not use carbon assembly paste or brake cleaner on the bottom bracket.
• Do not clean the bottom bracket directly with a pressure washer.

Velo-Perso tip: ITA is sometimes confused with BSA. Shell diameter, shell width and threading are different. Make sure your frame uses a 70 mm shell with 36 x 24 TPI Italian threading before ordering.
