The Shimano GRX FC-RX820-2 crankset with integrated INPEAK TWiN2 power meters combines a 48/31T 2x12s gravel drivetrain with independent left and right power measurement. A complete option for pacing long gravel rides, managing climbing efforts and training consistently with power.
Why choose true TWiN2 dual-sided measurement?
A left-only meter measures power on one crank arm and generally doubles it to estimate total output. With INPEAK TWiN2, both crank arms are instrumented, giving you independently measured left and right power, total watts, cadence and L/R balance. Additional data such as torque effectiveness, pedal smoothness and certain Cycling Dynamics metrics depend on head-unit compatibility.

A genuine Shimano GRX 2x12s gravel crankset
This Ready version is built on a brand-new Shimano GRX FC-RX820-2 crankset equipped with the POWERCRANK-E TWiN2 system by INPEAK. Its original Shimano 48/31T chainrings provide a practical gear range for fast gravel sectors and steep climbs.
The mechanical platform is Shimano GRX 12s, designed for Shimano HG 12s chains and 24 mm HOLLOWTECH II bottom brackets. Shimano specifies a 47 mm chainline, 151 mm Q-factor and 110/80 mm 4-arm chainring fixing pattern. Choose the crank length from the options actually available when ordering.
Rechargeable power, ANT+ and Bluetooth
The POWERCRANK-E uses rechargeable Li-Po batteries rather than the CR2032 cells found in non-E POWERCRANK units. INPEAK quotes up to 90 hours of riding and approximately 2 hours for a full charge. The included magnetic USB cable can charge both sensors at the same time. A USB wall adapter is not included.
ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy connect the meter to supported cycling computers and training apps. Automatic temperature compensation, manual zero-offset calibration and firmware updates through INPEAK Manager help keep your data consistent. The specified operating temperature range is -5 to +50°C.
Technical specifications
Compatibility: check before ordering
Drivetrain: this is the FC-RX820-2 GRX 2x12s crankset. It is not the 11s FC-RX810-2 or the single-ring FC-RX820-1.
Chainrings: INPEAK's user manual specifies original Shimano chainrings intended for the crankset model only. Aftermarket rings could contact the right-hand meter and may void warranty cover.
Frame: check clearance between the power meter housings, chainstays and other frame parts throughout a full crank rotation. A 24 mm-compatible bottom bracket alone does not guarantee frame clearance.
Bottom bracket: you need a Shimano HOLLOWTECH II 24 mm-compatible bottom bracket suited to your frame standard (BSA, PressFit, etc.). It is not listed among the included items.
Frequently asked questions
How does TWiN2 differ from INPEAK Single L?
Single L measures power only on the left. TWiN2 measures both crank arms and can therefore report genuine left/right balance.
Will it work with my GRX 11s drivetrain?
The FC-RX820-2 is a GRX 12s crankset. If your bike uses GRX 11s, check complete drivetrain compatibility and consider a model designed for that generation.
Can I fit third-party chainrings?
Not without explicit approval from INPEAK. The manufacturer's manual requires original Shimano chainrings designed for the FC-RX820-2 to avoid mechanical interference with the right sensor.
How do I pair and calibrate it?
Wake the system, then pair the left sensor to your compatible head unit; it also transmits data from the right sensor. Follow the manufacturer's zero-offset procedure with no pressure on the pedals and the cranks vertically aligned.
What comes in the Ready package?
A new Shimano GRX crankset with TWiN2 integrated, magnetic USB charging cable, quick manual, device data card and stickers. A USB wall charger and bottom bracket are not listed as included.
