Why replace your whole crankset just to measure power?
If your Shimano crankset already works perfectly, keeping its chainrings, bottom bracket and right crank arm is often the sensible choice. INPEAK adds the power sensor exactly where you need it: to the left crank arm.

Our own photograph shows a 170 mm Shimano 105 FC-R7100 left crank arm with INPEAK POWERCRANK-E: 206 g on our Park Tool scale. This measurement applies to that exact component, not the entire range. It demonstrates how compactly the electronics integrate with a genuine Shimano crank arm.
INPEAK claims approximately 10 g of additional electronics. Total crank-arm weight varies with crank model and length.

Three checks that prevent expensive mistakes.
Identify your crankset
Check the exact crank reference on your bike: FC-R7100, FC-R8100, FC-R9200, FC-RX810 or FC-RX820. The groupset name alone is not enough.
Choose the correct length
Normally match the length of your current crank arm (e.g. 165, 170, 172.5 or 175 mm). Check the variants offered on the product page.
Check frame clearance
The electronic module sits on the inside of the crank arm. Check clearance to the left chainstay, especially on some gravel and MTB frames.

RECHARGEABLE, CONNECTED, BUILT FOR THE LONG TERM
A compact sensor that earns its place on every ride.
POWERCRANK-E uses a rechargeable 110 mAh Li-Po battery with magnetic charging. INPEAK specifies up to 90 hours of runtime, around two hours for a full charge, IP67 sealing and active temperature compensation. The INPEAK MANAGER app provides configuration and firmware updates.

ACCURACY, CLEARLY EXPLAINED
Left-only measurement is not independent left/right measurement.
POWERCRANK-E SINGLE measures left-leg output and extrapolates total power. INPEAK's claimed ±2% sensor accuracy describes the measuring device itself; a rider's natural left/right imbalance can affect the estimated total. A left-only meter can be excellent for consistent training and pacing. If separate measurements for each leg are a priority, consider an appropriate dual-sided architecture such as INPEAK TWiN2 or Rotor 2INpower.

INPEAK and Rotor solve different problems.
We recommend INPEAK when the existing Shimano crankset already suits the bike: you are buying the function you actually want, power measurement. Rotor is worth considering when you also want to change overall crankset weight, crank length, chainrings, axle diameter or move to a modular platform.

The questions worth asking before installation.
Do I need to replace the entire crankset?
No, not with these ready-to-install SINGLE models, provided the selected INPEAK crank matches your actual crankset and frame clearance is sufficient.
Will my Garmin or Wahoo still work?
Yes, provided your head unit supports the relevant ANT+ or Bluetooth power-meter profile. Follow the pairing instructions for your head unit and the power meter.
Is the meter waterproof?
INPEAK specifies IP67 ingress protection for the sensor. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and charging guidelines.
When is dual-sided measurement preferable?
When you need independent measurements for both legs or detailed left/right contribution. The SINGLE model does not measure right-leg power independently.
