Q-Rings boost your performance by varying drivetrain resistance during pedalling in line with your legs natural strengths and weakness. They make better use of the strongest muscle groups (increasing positive work) and compensate for the weaker zones in the pedalling stroke (reducing negative work).
OCP is the key of Qrings. Determine your OCA and that will give your the OCP. OCP might be different between outer and inner rings, because when you climb with the inner ring, your velocity is more linear, whereas on flat roads with outer rings, your OCA is changing at all pedal stroke and you need to find a compromise in terms of OCP. Qrings with the good OCP will lightly improve your average power and speed and it's more visible on TT, training alone and climbs.
