SPATZWEAR 2026 COLLECTION · WINTER / VERSATILE
Keep riding when winter settles in
Light gloves can work beautifully through autumn. Once winter arrives, though, passing air gradually steals heat from inadequately protected fingers. The Spatz THRMOZ2 give regular winter riders a more considered solution: substantial insulation together with wind-blocking shells you can deploy to suit the conditions and your effort level.

THE SPATZ APPROACH
Two fold-out shields, adaptable protection
Spatz have updated their original THRMOZ design with two fold-out wind-blocking covers that tuck into the back of the glove. Deploy them when the wind picks up or your fingers start cooling down; fold them back when the pace rises or the sun appears.
This is an intelligent way to combine the precision of a five-finger glove with an additional barrier against cold air.
THRMOZ2 ON THE ROAD

THE VELO-PERSO GUIDE
Velo-Perso.com’s view
THRMOZ2 are the gloves many riders could build their winter kit around. Spatz have worked on two complementary problems: keeping warmth in and, crucially, blocking the headwind created by riding itself. Don't choose your gloves by the temperature at the start alone.
Bright sunshine, a one-hour ride and three hours of steady endurance work in fog call for very different protection. At the same temperature, your hands may be much colder in hour two than in hour one. For especially long, damp rides—or if you are sensitive to cold—we would step up to THRMOZ XTRM.
Choosing gloves for winter riding
Temperature
The stated temperature range is a guideline, not a comfort guarantee.
Sunshine or fog
At 2°C, hours in fog can feel much colder than a sunny ride.
Ride duration
At the same temperature, hour two may call for warmer gloves than hour one.
Spatz recommend THRMOZ2 from +5 to −3°C as an approximate guide. They sit between the lighter GLOVZ2 Race and the maximum-insulation THRMOZ XTRM. Our winter rule is simple: two pairs beat one compromise. Pair THRMOZ2 with GLOVZ2 for milder days, or with XTRM if your winter regularly includes long rides through damp cold.
GLOVE SIZE GUIDE
Find the right fit for your next winter ride
Use the chart to measure your hand before choosing a size. THRMOZ2 are available from S to XL. Aim for a secure fit without squeezing your fingers: comfort and freedom of movement matter in cold weather.

Frequently asked questions
How do THRMOZ2 differ from GLOVZ2 Race?
THRMOZ2 offer more winter insulation, a waterproof breathable membrane in the main fabric and a YKK wrist zip. GLOVZ2 Race suit milder weather and harder efforts.
Can I ride for hours at 2°C in THRMOZ2?
It depends on your sensitivity to cold, sunshine and effort level. For hours in fog, THRMOZ XTRM provide more thermal reserve.
Do the wind covers stay out all the time?
No. The two covers deploy and stow as conditions change, letting you balance wind protection and dexterity.
* Spatzwear temperature ranges are indicative. Comfort varies with wind, humidity, riding intensity and individual cold sensitivity.
